Line Editing
Line editing provides a review of the basic mechanics of the English language. An editor checks the manuscript for errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. The editor will also address syntax and word choice and make recommendations for improving the overall readability of the work.
How it works:
You will submit a Microsoft Word file to be edited. The copyeditor tracks his/her changes including additions, deletions and comments. You will then receive the edited document and will be asked to accept or reject all or individual changes to the document.
This report will include:
- Review of basic English mechanics including spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Review of typos found in the manuscript
- Mild review of syntax, word choice and overall readability of manuscript
- YOU have control over the final changes to your manuscript!!
