I have been with Thomson-Shore since 1992 and started my career in the text layout department, (placement of film text pages on vinyl). I then moved into the cover department, creating a separate piece of film for each color that was on the cover. When Thomson-Shore migrated into the electronic world, I continued working in the cover department, and then progressed into text and cover design with Publishing Services @ Thomson-Shore when the opportunity arose. Understanding that every project is special to its author, I like to read part of the manuscript to get a feel for what design will work beautifully with the title

I joined the Thomson-Shore indie team in 2017. After working in education, I began my publishing career in 2003 in the Scholastic Book Clubs. From there I went on to become an editor with Penguin Group in New York City and Chronicle Books in San Francisco. Throughout my career I have edited many books for young readers, specializing in middle grade and young adult fiction. I've worked with New York Times bestsellers as well as National Book Award winners. As Creative Director at Publishing Services @ Thomson-Shore, I work closely with the designers, authors, and editors to insure that all books look polished and professional while meeting the authors needs and adhering closely to traditional publishing standards.

My background of design, communication, and psychology naturally led me to joining the Independent Publishing Services Team here at Thomson-Shore to help authors and small publishers – just like you – turn dreams into books. I’ve traveled to many places around the world while meeting new people and, of course, hearing their stories. As the Publishing Services Sales Manager, I am the first point of contact for people who find themselves asking, “Now what?” I can talk you through the process and point you in the right direction, connecting you with the proper experts to fit where you’re at in the process and to keep your project moving forward. Writing is your craft, being an author is your job, and publishing a book is like starting your business. Trust us; you’re going to want to have a good team on staff.

I have a Business Administration, General Education, and a Certificate of Liberal Arts MACRAO from Washtenaw Community College. I was a Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones Investments, and I am also an ASE Certified Auto Technician. I have a strong history of management/leadership roles and I love to read, which translates well in my Distribution Services Coordinator position at Thomson-Shore. I started my career at Thomson-Shore in 2017 in manufacturing, but was quickly moved around from customer service/marketing to distribution to publishing services.
From retail sales and service to software technical support, I have over 10 years of customer service experience. I understand what it means to maintain client relationships and put what matters first: you and your book. It is my duty to give you the accurate information you need for submitting and shipping your orders, and answering any questions that may arise regarding the distribution and fulfillment services that we provide. You can rest assured that your account will get the attention it deserves.

As your partner in the book making process, we want you to know you have come to the right place. We have a great team of Independent Publishing experts to review your manuscript, offer recommendations, provide expert advice, and work with you through the entire project, from manuscript to reader. You always maintain the rights to your content, but we treat it with care, like it’s our own.
I have been employed with Thomson Shore since 2000 wearing many different hats, but always with a focus on supporting and developing our 100% employee owners. I enjoy getting to know our customers and touring them through Thomson-Shore, where beautiful books are made. My main responsibilities include oversight of author sales, marketing and people development. Outside of work I love spending time with my family, attending events with the grandchildren and cheering on the Michigan Wolverines – Go Blue!
